With this record I feel that Landlord have finally found their groove. This is their best quality recording by far and Chris has really found his voice on this one. Poppy yet rockin' and the lyrics are killer. Also here is a new song that the boys recorded with Todd C. in San Pedro at Clown Sound Studios that'll be coming out on a 7" in the near future. Get "Blind Hand" here.

Big Eyes-Hard Life
I do think this record is really good. But, I think the 7"s are better. Somehow the LP feels like its missing something. They re-recorded "Since You Left", "Why Can't I", and "Your Lies" and the older versions are way better. The LP does have some really good songs on it though despite the recording being not as good. The song "Now That You Aren't Mine" is one of the more chill songs that they've done that breaks into this killer Thin Lizzy style guitar solo at the end. Give it a listen.

New song on a Scion A/V digital split with Last Year's Men.
Parting Gifts-Strychnine Dandelion
Another Greg Cartwright project featuring members of The Ettes, Raconteurs, and The Greenhornes. This record came out about a year ago and has that Cartwright style with a little doo wop in there. Kinda comparable to the album Reigning Sound did with Mary Weiss but more upbeat.

Western Problems is a little more chill than the 7 inches but still holds up as a great Future Virgins record.

Demo Cassette
Good Riddance/I Hate You
I've been listening to Creem and Wiccans on real heavy rotation here lately. I'm really digging the stuff Katorga Works has been putting out. Creem's got a Slapshot vibe going on and they rock it pretty well.

Wiccans-Skullduggery & Teenage Cults
I haven't been this excited about a new hardcore band since The Rival Mob. 80's style hardcore with and Oi influence. Fans of Negative Approach and early Fucked Up would be real into this.

Phil Anselmo-At Loyola University NOLA
This is video of Phil speaking at Loyola University in New Orleans. He covers a variety of subjects focusing a lot on his past heroin abuse. He's pretty fucking awesome in this interview and says some pretty hilarious shit. The video is in several parts so put it in a playlist in VLC media player to watch it all the way through without stopping.
