I don't really know anything about this band other than the fact that they are amazing. They are a 2-piece from Providence, RI and I find it really hard to explain what they sound like. The drummer is a fill machine and I have no idea what the guitar players hands are doing to make these sounds. I'm really not giving this band justice with my explanation at all and I can't really think of another band that they sound like. I think it all makes sense when you give it a listen. Here are their 2 releases, which to my knowledge, is everything they put out.
FINGERS BECOME BRIDGES
PEOPLE WITHOUT END
This band features all the members of The Brokedowns and Todd Pot from Apocalypse Hoboken on vocals.
This record could have definitely been a Brokedowns full length. But I think the addition of Todd's vocals worked pretty well with the Brokedowns sound. When I think about how to describe how it all sounds I seem to always think a more punk sounding Black Cross musically. Todd's vocals are cool and it isn't that much of a different approach from what he's done in the past. I think this album is really good and its too bad that it is only 11 songs long.
Another band that I was really into when I was living in Arkansas. I find it pretty hard to describe their music. Its really pretty sounding at times, really chill, gets epic at some points vocals remind me somewhat of when Alkaline Trio was still good. The first 3 songs were on a CD-R release called "Pi" and the last two tracks were on their MP3.com page way back in the day when that was still going on. As far as I know these are the only recordings they ever did.

Clicking Beetle came out of Little Rock, AR. Back when they were still an active band they had these 4 songs posted on the internet but I'm not sure if they were ever actually on anything. Its really reverby & lo-fi.

One Reason came out of Cleveland, Mississippi. These songs are all the stuff they ended up doing once their original bass player left the band. So here is the stuff that was on the Defiance, OH split, the Because Split, the Mountains 7", and the last 2 songs that the band ever recorded, one ending up on a Plan-It-X Records compilation.

By Request for my brocephus Cole.
Medusa is another really good band from Bloomington. Medusa features most of the members from Racbannon and although I've never given Racebannon that much of a chance I think its safe to say that Medusa is the better band of the 2. The album sounds awesome, recorded at Russian Recording here in Bloomington. It sounds really rockin' but super heavy, and vocally it kinda reminded me of Steve Austin from Today is the Day. I'm not gonna lie there are 2 songs on here that I can't stand but the rest of the album is excellent. I heard they recorded a new EP recently. Let's see if it takes them over a year after recording to release like they did with En Raga Sul.
I really like KTMWQ. I don't know much about them at all. I never got to see them play either. But I know they rule. Industry Document was a final release which contained a lot of vinyl only, compilation, and live songs. This doesn't contain Sugar Industry so I'll post that up some other time.
If I want to listen to something heavy as fuck this is what I put on. The Milkman is one of my favorites on this album.
Here's some Marked Men songs that were B-sides on some seven inches, and splits with The Birthday Suits and This Is My Fist.
01-I Can't Be Good
02-Nothing Worth While
03-Settle Down
04-That Kid
05-Nothing's Changed
06-She Won't Know
07-Like Robots
08-Lost It All
09-Oh My Pretty Face
10-Whip Me
11-Too Pretty To Fuck

If the desert had a soundtrack this would be it. Really reverby, really slow, really awesome sounding. When I imagine music to Cormac McCarthy books this is what I hear. This post also includes the Untitled bonus track only released on the vinyl version. Click image for the download.
